Another similar opportunity was the small business day. US was celebrating America´s 30 million small businesses. A World Bank Group study suggests there are between 365-445 million micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in emerging markets: 25-30 million are formal SMEs; 55-70 million are formal micro-enterprises; and 285-345 million are informal enterprises.
The SBA's Small Business Week was from April 29 to May 5 in 2018. It was actually a US event. This great initiative was started by the U.S. Small Business Administration and everyone can participate with deals and hashtags #SmallBusinessWeek, attending the three-day virtual conference from May 1st to 3rd, co-hosted by SCORE and a Twitter chat on Friday, May 4th about tips for starting and growing businesses. 2018’s National Small Business Week was offering lots of educative and events to join: A #SmallBusinessWeek Hackathon will be held in Washington, D.C. the weekend of April 27 to 29 with a $24,000 prize and the SBA is on the road with a multi-city bus tour from May 1 to 3 as they present some of the entrepreneurs across the country.
Now, in Europe as well, Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) Day gets celebrated each year on 27 June. MSME Day 2018 was dedicated to youth and covered topics such as youth entrepreneurship and youth employment. The small businesses, including freelancers and founders/entrepreneurs, are the ones struggling with issues no established corporate do. We will always respect and do our best to support them:
